Challenge:

‍Patients often face uncertainty regarding medical costs due to opaque pricing structures. Yura Health wanted to integrate insurance data to show exact costs before booking appointments, similar to the integrated experience provided by systems like Kaiser Permanente.

Solution:

• Developed a platform where users could input their insurance information and search for healthcare services.
• Integrated with federal databases like the National Provider Identifier (NPI) and machine-readable healthcare transparency data.
• Displayed exact out-of-pocket costs for medical procedures based on users' insurance plans and deductibles.
• Built the system using React for the frontend and Python for the backend.
