RareWaters is a fly-fishing marketplace offering exclusive access to private waters and related outdoor activities. It was acquired by InfiniteOutdoorsUSA in 2024.
RareWaters’ existing WordPress site could not scale to handle complex marketplace features (season passes, dynamic pricing, etc.). The team needed a more robust platform with custom pricing and pass management to grow the business.
Horizon Labs performed a full migration to Sharetribe in under 3 months. We built all required marketplace features, including:
The new marketplace launched successfully. RareWaters was acquired by InfiniteOutdoorsUSA later in 2024. Traffic soared. RareWaters became the #1 Google result in its niche. The map and listing features we built were reused on the InfiniteOutdoorsUSA site.
Season passes, gift cards, advanced listing filters (camping, lodging, water access, etc.), review/bookmark systems, and complete data migration.
