Problem

Patcom is a healthcare training marketplace connecting Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) trainers with trainees. Because this is medical-adjacent training, trust signals and structured workflows matter more than “generic marketplace” functionality. Credentialing, approvals, and policy enforcement need to be built into the product so the team doesn’t become the bottleneck.

Patcom needed to scale a training marketplace without turning into a manual operations company. Key issues included:

Trust gap: trainees needed verified credentials before booking
Operational drag: approvals, policy exceptions, and trainer vetting were manual
Monetization complexity: packages, discounts, and category-based pricing needed to work end-to-end
