Website:
LinkClient Overview:
Monittor aimed to create a platform for manufacturers to set up online shops where buyers could purchase parts for custom machines, particularly in the hydroelectric dam industry.
Challenge:
The founder needed technical leadership to build an MVP for a niche marketplace, facilitating transactions between machine manufacturers and buyers in a secure, user-friendly manner.
Solution:
- Served as a fractional CTO, overseeing the technical direction of the project.
- Selected appropriate technologies to build the platform, using React for the frontend and Node.js for the backend.
- Implemented lean methodologies to keep development costs low, such as using email authentication instead of password systems.
- Coordinated with a development agency to bring the MVP to fruition.
Results:
- Delivered the MVP, enabling manufacturers to sell machine parts directly to authorized buyers.
- Provided a proof of concept that could be presented to potential investors and clients.
- Although the company eventually ceased operations, the project validated the technical approach and business model.
Technologies Used:
- Frontend: React
- Backend: Node.js
