MKProducts.com is a 59-year-old ISO-certified welding-products manufacturer (51–200 employees). Its internal team of 20 engineers had been unable to deliver a critical software solution over two years.
The client’s in-house team was stalled on a legacy embedded/software project for multiple years. They needed to accelerate development without ballooning costs.
Horizon Labs provided a dedicated 2-engineer team to augment MKProducts’ staff. We took over the project full-time after a 3-month trial and focused on the backlog of features and fixes. By working closely with the client’s engineering manager, we prioritized critical tasks and implemented robust processes to rapidly iterate on the product.
Within months, Horizon Labs delivered what the 20-person team couldn’t in two years. The project went from stagnation to launch-ready under Horizon Labs' lead. The engagement has continued long-term, cementing MKProducts as a flagship engineering-success story for the team.
