Corros

Corros was modernizing a traditional event organizing business into a digital marketplace connecting event organizers with venue owners. The business value depended on translating a historically manual matchmaking process into reliable product workflows.

Problem: This was a “rescue project.” Corros had previously hired another devshop, which led to a lawsuit and a non-functional product. They were left with:

• A broken platform that couldn’t support real users
• Uncertainty about what could be salvaged vs. rebuilt
• High risk of repeating the same mistakes without a clear technical plan
  They needed execution they could trust, with transparent scoping and a reliable delivery path.

Solution: Horizon Labs stabilized the effort by moving in phases:

• Conducted a thorough audit of the existing codebase to identify failure points and root causes
• Produced a detailed rebuild plan (approximately 700 hours) to remove ambiguity and control risk
• Rebuilt the marketplace from scratch to create dependable organizer ↔ venue workflows
• Established a clean technical foundation designed for future feature expansion (without compounding technical debt)
